Molten Iron Throwing (via diagonaluk)

Locals in Nuanquan China celebrate the Lantern Festival each year by flinging molten iron at a wall to create beautiful showers of sparks. The tradition reportedly started 4 or 500 years ago when a blacksmith was too poor to buy fireworks to celebrate the festival.
